Seats Overview

A seat represents one course enrollment for one student. When you purchase a team, you are purchasing a set number of seats — and each seat grants one student access to the course.

Seats gets used when you enroll a student to take the course.

If, for some reason, your student never starts the course, you can remove that student and reclaim the seat. Once the student starts the course, the seat is no longer reclaimable.

Unassigned seats remain as available until you’re ready to use them. They never expire. If you need to add additional seats once you’ve exhausted your team seats, you can use the Add Seats button from your My Teams dashboard.

A Quick Review of Team Seat Numbers:

  • Available Seats
The number of Seats available to enroll students. You can reclaim a seat on your team if the student has NOT started the course.
  • Seats in Use
The number of Seats taken up by currently enrolled students or students who have completed the course.

  • Lifetime Seats
This is the number of Seats you’ve purchased total for this Team. This number counts towards discounts on future seat purchases for this team.
